Giant crystals of the Péz Regina

After three years of salvage work, the two blasters Michael Flepp and Alfons Derungs retrieved two large groups of rock crystals from a crevice on Péz Regina in 2003. These crystals are among the largest groups that have ever been found in the Alps. After adventurous journeys, the two giant crystals returned to their home in Lumbrein in the summer of 2023. One crystal, called the ‘Sun of Péz Regina’, is on display in the Casa d'Angel and the second, called the ‘Star of the Four Winds’, has found its place in the Casa Lumerins. During the tour, a film about the difficult recovery process is also shown.
