The gouvernor of Surcasti

The parish church of S. Luregn is located on the rocky spur between the Valser and Vriner Rhine. People lived here over 3000 years ago. The imposing church tower belonged to the castle of the castellans of Übercastel in the Middle Ages. We visit the building, which can be seen from afar, and then walk to the village of Surcasti with its 400-year-old houses.
